We’re looking for a Fire Safety Manager (called Senior Fire Safety Business Partner here at Home Group) to join our sociable and ROSPA Gold Fire Health and Safety team. Your typical day as our Fire Safety Manager

• Working with colleagues across the business to develop, mentor and support them to undertake fire risk assessments.
• You’ll analyse and review the Fire Risk Assessments carried out by the wider team.
• Working with partners, contractors and other professionals to manage performance and deliver scheduled assessments.
• Stakeholders or internal customer group (if applicable)
• Ensure we have a clear framework that drives compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

You bring

• A Level 4 qualification in Fire Safety or similar and NEBOSH Fire Risk Management certificate
• Experience working in Social Housing
• Delivered a Fire Risk Assessment programme, and perhaps delivered FRA yourself
• Great project and or Programme management skills
• Coaching and mentoring skills able to instil a best practice approach amongst your peers
• Strong technical and IT skills, able to review data and draw conclusions

About the team

You’ll join a great and sociable team who get together a few times a year. We meet up regularly to collaborate and catch up in smaller groups. Our manager Steve started his job at Home Group earlier this year, so knows what it’s like to be the new kid on the block. He has a wealth of experience and is perfectly placed to support you when you join.

Job details

• Covering the wider South region, you’ll travel 1 day or so a week
• This is a hybrid role and when not out visiting our services or sites, you can be home based or from a nearby office
• You’ll manage your own diary, so if you need to nip out to walk the dog or do the school run, we’re ok with that!
• Full time flexible hours
• You need a full driving licence and access to a car insured for business purposes. We of course pay you for your mileage.
