Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge office, you will be able to work from home within the UK, with the expectation that you will attend the office as needed for your role.
The role
We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Analyst to join the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) on a 2-year fixed-term basis.
As Senior Infrastructure Analyst, you will provide a high-quality technical support function for standard hardware and associated operating systems, telecommunications, back-office software, and applications used within the RSC.
Within this role, you will interact with key stakeholders providing updates and present on IT-related matters. You will ensure high system availability and adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You will identify and communicate technical risks to the Infrastructure team and, if necessary, escalate to the Head of IT Operations. You will have responsibility for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of core corporate infrastructure systems including project management. You will contribute to long-term IT strategies, recommend innovative solutions, and support continuous improvement while conducting research and producing regular performance reports.
In this role it is expected that you will attend the office on an ad-hoc basis. If you need flexible working arrangements, please outline this in your application.
