S&L IT PVT LTD looking for a Senior Java developer to join a dynamic and friendly team based Milton Keynes
Responsibilities

• Contribute towards the vision of our next generation platform.
• Provide leadership to a multi-disciplined group of engineers in an agile delivery team.
• Communicate, collaborate and work constructively within an Agile environment on implementing new functionalities or resolving issues, to build working software delivering customer value.
• Translate business requirements from product owners into technical solutions.
• Day to day hands on development on bespoke financial platforms and internal Management platforms.
• Full awareness of new technologies which can add business benefit
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and team to deliver robust, secure, scalable, tested, and documented capabilities across a number of digital channels servicing a variety of popular devices
• Collaborate closely with your Tech Lead on architecting new features and seeing them through to completion
• Stay up to date with the latest trends in technology and you are not afraid to propose some findings during our GSDD.
• Take ownership on some of the external deliveries
• Develop new modules for our products
• Review code and Design solutions
• Collaboration across all relevant product engineering development lifecycles.
• Good understanding of object orientated development principles and patterns
Required Education
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

Required Skills / Experience:
• Experience designing database schemas and performing database optimizations using Microsoft SQL Server and/or MySQL
• Knowledge of proper database normalization, indexing, transaction protection, and locking is essential
• Experience in J2EE ,Spring boot
• iBATIS, Hibernate or other ORM Framework (Highly Desirable)
• Front end technologies - HTML / CSS / Javascript (Desirable)
• Experince with Java enterprise: Java 8, Spring, Solr/Lucene,
• Reddis, Mongo DB, rest, json/soap/xml, junit, TDD
• Knowledge of cloud technologies: microservice architectures,AWS, Azure, Docker, Eureka, Rancher, Prometheus, and other resilience, performance, monitoring, security, etc.
• Applicable CMS expertise (preferably with Java) for example with Liferay, OpenCMS, Magnolia, Ektron, Episerver, Sitecore, Joomla, Moodle, Drupal, etc.
• Agile development experience : design patterns, OOD, emergent architecture, tools like JIRA/Confluence
• Web services, Restful APIs, JSON, SOAP, XML/RPC
• Strong technical background in Java, Spring & Spring Boot
• Passionate about modern software development processes:
• DevOps, Continuous delivery & Deployment, TDD and BDD.
It's a Java environment and a Java role you need to be experienced with Java, J2EE, and OO programming.
• Some experience of leading and directing a multi-disciplined group of engineers.
