Role overview: 

This role takes responsibility for the reporting of financial information, including but not limited to: monthly departmental management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and budget/forecast information. 

As we grow as a business you will be providing support on financial aspects of Group projects, including integration of acquired businesses, system migration and integrations, as required.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Co-ordinate delivery of financial information based on Group level reporting requirements for the relevant stakeholders. Gain an understanding of Group consolidation processes to support as required with consolidated financial results;
  • Ensure the accuracy of the underlying accounting records of the Group; 
  • Support with the review of financial information and provide commentary on results against budget / forecast / expectations;
  • Support with external advisors where required with financial audit and post-acquisition integration;
  • Support with the year end process, liaising with the external auditors as appropriate; 
  • Keep up to date with accounting developments and assess the impact of proposed changes on the Group;
  • Provide financial input to multi-functional projects and provide insightful advise and analysis;
  • Effectively co-ordinate relevant activities with the rest of the Finance team as appropriate; 
  • Work with operational departments on financial matters;  
  • Provide support to the Financial Controller; 
  • Provide high service levels to the business

What will you need to succeed? 

  • Qualified accountant ACA
  • Gained good general understanding of accounting
  • Experience gained in related media, technology or digital field
  • Able to communicate at all levels to negotiate, persuade and influence others across the business
  • Able to assess and respond to the needs of the business
  • Technically strong, with a good understanding of IFRS and minimum requirement of financial control 
  • Self starter, high degree of personal motivation and proactive
  • Proactively challenges status quo and identifies areas for improvement
  • Commercially astute
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Honest and high level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Team player
