Job Summary 

The purpose of the SEO Project Manager role is to support the delivery of a programme designed to bring operational benefits to the local or regional policing, security and intelligence agencies, and other law enforcement agencies.

We are looking for an experienced project manager to work in high profile, fast paced and rapidly developing areas of delivery which continue to attract significant interest from Ministers.

The candidate will be involved in overseeing a multimillion £ programme of work, working with multiple suppliers and Law Enforcement Agencies to deliver a step change in the way Communications Data (CD) is derived and delivered from that of traditional CD.

Key Outcomes and Deliverables

  1. Lead on programme governance. Prepare and attend briefing sessions with the SRO and Programme Sponsor. This will include secretariat role for board and working group meetings.
  2. Production of key project management products such as risks and issues using appropriate tools
  3. Maintain the change control process, ensuring changes to scope, schedule, budget, resources, or quality are identified and well documented
  4. Lead on stakeholder mapping exercises and maintain the stakeholder log
  5. Develop and maintain a Communications plan liaising with operational users


Essentials 

  1. Candidate should have experience of delivering a wide range of business and/or IT change projects
  2. Sound understanding of a range of structured programme and project management techniques and methodologies, in both Waterfall and Agile
  3. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
  4. Experience of transcribing minutes at project/board meetings containing technical detail
  5. Relevant project management qualifications including AGILE, PRINCE2, Managing Successful Programmes, APM Qualification or equivalent/time spent in industry


Desirable Skills

  1. Waterfall and Agile project and programme delivery experience
  2.  Line management experience
