We have opportunities for a permanent Social Worker to join the Assessment Service.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to develop their social work career working within frontline assessment and take on a new challenge. We are proud that in assessment we enable workers to gain a vast amount of experiences and opportunities in working with children and their families. Within the assessment service no day is the same, one day you may be supporting a family in need of support and the other removing a child following an Non Accidental Injury. We are first social workers to meet families following concerns being raised, due to this it is imperative that you are ready to fit into a past paced team.
Assessment team is made up of 3 teams and we work on a 3 week rota basis, you will be expected to be in the office on duty weeks and deal with any crisis intervention that arise. You may also be required to be in the office at other times outside of the duty week if the demand is needed, this could be to attend a strategy meeting or have face to face to supervision. As mentioned, the assessment service is a fast pace environment, however staff are given the opportunity to work flexibly as well as manage their own work with management guidance and support when and where needed.
Assessment Team is a challenging but essential role, that would suit any social worker up for making a difference to young people in the local area.
