About the Role

This is a great opportunity to join the beating heart of Anglia Ruskin University, you will form part of the development team charged with improving and creating solutions which enhance the experience of staff and students while using the Universities external and internal websites. You will get the opportunity to work with Colleagues across all levels of the organisation and external solution suppliers. The Sitecore team are responsible for managing and actively contributing towards the development of Anglia Ruskin’s key tools, Learning portals, information systems, services and platforms.

Working as part of this team you will ensure solutions are developed to a high standard and can be effectively transitioned into operation by ensuring appropriate testing, user acceptance and support processes are in place. You will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle by designing, developing and unit testing solutions ensuring the high standards and guidelines already established by Anglia Ruskin are maintained.

This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop your skills as you will be expected to participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code. You will work within a well-established team with lots of knowledge to share in an environment where collaboration is encouraged. You will work across the entire technical side of the organisation cooperating with users, Business Analyst and Solution Architects.

What you will need to be Successful

  • You will need a strong understanding and demonstrable hands-on experience using Microsoft development tools such as .NET, C# or any of its other Frameworks.
  • You will have a good knowledge of developing Web-Applications and Web Services with the ability to practically demonstrate this in a professional environment.
  • Exposure to working with and developing solutions in accordance with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) as well as Object oriented Development.
  • Desirable knowledge of MS SQL, MVC.NET, Razor, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Azure Devops and JQuery however all of the previously mentioned skills can be taught and upskilled while working. If you don’t have experience working within these technologies please still apply as you may posses other required skills in order to be successful.
