This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Software Developer – DevOps who will play a major role with the technical design and development of company’s technical offerings specially integrating the diverse applications suites. The role is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at client locations.

Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):

• Strong ability to create, maintain and evolve an AWS cloud infrastructure for running applications. 
• Responsible for the planning, implementation, and growth of the AWS cloud infrastructure and should be able to 
• Build, release, and manage the configuration of all production /non-production systems
• Manage a continuous integration and deployment methodology for server-based technologies
• Work alongside architecture and engineering teams to design and implement any scalable software services
• Ensure necessary system security by using best in class cloud security solutions
• Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company
• Implement continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines when necessary
• Recommend process and architecture improvements
• Troubleshoot the system and solve problems across all platform and application domains
• Oversee pre-production acceptance testing to ensure the high quality of a company’s services and products.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]

• Participate in planning, implementation, and growth of the infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Gov Cloud.
• Work with the larger design team to develop a full Hybrid Cloud Solution.
• Manage full application stacks from the OS through custom applications using Amazon cloud-based computing environments.
• Work closely with the architect and engineers to design networks, systems, and storage environment that effectively reflect business needs, security requirements, and service level requirements.
• Manage a continuous integration/continuous deployment methodology for the server-based technologies.
• Work with engineering and architecture teams to design and implement scalable software services.
• Work with the architecture team to design and implement a cloud management solution to potentially span multiple CSP and private clouds.

• Well versed with:

o Talend ETL platform and Snaplogic/Globalscope ingestion
o AWS components like AWS S3, CloudWatch, Route53, RDS, OpenShift, CloudFormation
o Serverless Messaging Platform e.g., Enterprise Hub
o Development and maintenance using DevOps tools such as Chef, Pupet, Ansible
o DevOps pipeline flow using Jenkins, Nexus
o Developing Infrastructure as Code, Python, Bash, CloudFormation, Terraform.
o Exposure to AWS CloudFormation and Ansible best practices by writing playbooks, tasks and roles, making use of Ansible’s EC2 Dynamic Inventory Script tag feature. 
o Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform & Terragrunt)

The candidate with Bachelor's degree or above in the UK or Equivalent would be preferred.
