Job Title: Test Centre Manager
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Job Share option available
Salary Range: £44,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
Location: Remote/Hybrid
A fantastic opportunity has arisen join Ageas as Test Centre manager within our Testing and Quality Assurance Team. As Test Centre Manager you will provide management and leadership for allocated resources within the Testing Centre, to enable delivery of the IT services that enable Ageas to achieve its goals.
Reporting into the Test Delivery Manager and supported by the Q&A Test Management Team, the Test Centre Manager will support and deliver change initiatives, ensuring that test activities are compliant with Ageas testing, audit, security and regulatory requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Provide leadership and direction to an IT Testing team, creating an environment where employees are engaged and motivated to deliver their role and achieve functional and organisational objectives.
Ensure delivery of effective people management processes and strategies within own Team and in collaboration with wider Test and IT teams, including performance management as well as capability and competency development for team members.
Be a quality and testing Subject Matter Expert (SME), informing and educating team members, stakeholders, clients and 3rd party suppliers on testing issues and subjects.
Work with the Portfolio Test Lead, Test Centre Leads and the wider IT community, engaging with customers, stakeholders and suppliers to ensure IT delivery and testing is focused on meeting the business requirements of quality, time and cost.
Deputise for Portfolio Test Leads where appropriate to ensure portfolio of test assignments is maintained.
Maintain own knowledge and awareness of Testing theory and practice. Proactively look for opportunities to self-develop own knowledge and awareness of testing methods · and processes.
Manage the performance of suppliers providing services to support the Test Centre.
Ensure that the efficiency and effectiveness, as measured by agreed metrics, of the Test Centre is both maintained and, where feasible improved.
What you will need to succeed as our Test Centre Manager:
Strong proven experience of leading managing and leading a team of Test Analysts and be able to motivate and inspire the team to further improve the speed and quality of their deliverables.
Experience of successfully working with partners, suppliers and third parties.
Project management experience, including working in multi-discipline and matrix-managed project teams.
High level of numeracy; able to understand, evaluate and interpret statistical data. Awareness of budget and expense control.
Ability to innovate in the test and test-delivery practices and process domain, forming new effective solutions to problems
Ensure delivery of effective people management processes and strategies within own Team and in collaboration with wider Test and IT teams, including performance management as well as capability and competency development for team members
Experience in resource planning and scheduling, estimation, and reporting on progress.
Experience of using Test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps and Azure Test plans
Experience of developing and contributing to test strategies and plans across multiple delivery workstreams against fixed milestones
Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills

Commercial awareness - a broad knowledge and understanding of the company's products and the market in which they compete. (desired)
Experience in Insurance industry, preferably Motor and Home Insurance
Experience Agile and scrum teams
Experience designing, executing, and maintaining test automation frameworks
