Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your teaching career in a dynamic and growing School within a Russell Group University? Are you enthusiastic about teaching in computer science and passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience?

This is an opportunity for a talented, motivated individual to make an impact on student education in Leeds and abroad. The University of Leeds (UoL) and Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJT) have established a Joint School at the SWJT campus in Chengdu, China. We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow to help deliver our programmes in computer science, both in Leeds and in China.

The School of Computing has a global reputation for its teaching and research with over 1500 students from over 55 countries studying with us. We also have around 50 academic staff engaged in teaching and research. The University of Leeds achieved a Gold rating in the national Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), an indication of our wholehearted commitment to delivering an excellent student education. We wish to recruit an enthusiastic member of the teaching staff who will work flexibly across both Leeds and Chengdu campuses, including spending some academic terms in China.

You will be teaching (in English) at both campus locations through lectures, tutorials and in laboratories. You will set coursework and examinations and supervise student projects. You will work closely with colleagues in Leeds to update learning resources, making them appropriate for delivery in China, ensuring all our students receive an outstanding educational experience. You will have technical experience in a range of topics related to computer science, gained either in industry and/or within higher education. In addition to demonstrating enthusiastic and effective teaching skills, you will demonstrate excellent team working skills with an ability to work in a cross-cultural team. You will possess excellent communication skills.
