A vacancy has a risen for an experienced clinical psychologist to work alongside the children’s’ community nursing team in Cornwall delivering a service to children and young people with life limiting conditions and their families. You will be working with a highly skilled and dedicated nursing team to meet the needs of this most vulnerable group of children, young people and families.
You will be offering supervision and training to this team in addition to direct clinical work.
This exciting and challenging post is suited to an individual who has a strong interest in Paediatric Palliative care and who enjoys being able to influence and develop services to meet family need.
As a Trust we offer very good support and education to staff to develop their knowledge and skill further. We also have strong links to the University of Plymouth Clinical Psychology training programme. Across the Trust there are other psychologists working within children’s services offering the opportunity for peer support and supervision.
The service has good links across county and the Southwest for sharing best practice and developing palliative care services for children and young people. The service is community based in the beautiful county of Cornwall which is a fulfilling place to live, with opportunities to make the most of the stunning countryside and coast line across the seasons.
