About us

Machine Medicine Technologies (MMT) uses computer vision and computational statistics to enhance the neurological assessment of patients. Our first product, KELVIN-PD, allows motor assessments in Parkinson’s disease to be performed, recorded and used both faster and better than has ever previously been possible. KELVIN-PD is already in use at clinical sites across several countries and possesses a CE mark, being a class-I medical device. MMT aims to build the platform into a generalised tool for patient selection, surgical planning and device programming for machine brain interfacing, a revolutionary therapeutic innovation.

About you

You are a hard-working and talented full-stack engineer with a superb command of general programming principles supplemented by a special strength in SysAdmin/DevOps. You have a passion for software development and want to build products that positively impact the lives of millions. You are keen to join a small full-stack development team (currently 3 strong) to bring scalability to our platform and be involved in a variety of tasks across different areas of S/W development and more.

List of main duties and responsibilities:

Managing and building our production infrastructure (AWS, Docker, CI/CD pipelines)
Automating infrastructure deployment (multiple regions with region-specific requirements)
Reimagining our existing architecture into a microservices-based approach
Collaborating with the fullstack team in the design, development and delivering of key features
Contributing to the technical design meetings with your own unique perspective and expertise

Skills (Necessary)

Strong understanding of DevOps principles, practices and tools
Past experience of building and managing cloud-based infrastructure
Understanding core AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC
Solid grasp of Linux based system administration
Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible
Familiarity with Docker containers
Knowledge of Python backend frameworks such as Flask and/or Django
Good communication skills and ability to work autonomously

Skills (Desirable)

Experience using Terraform or AWS Cloudformation
Experience with microservices based application design

Experience

1+ years of experience as a software engineer with DevOps responsibilities
2+ years of overall experience as a software engineer

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
