Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for managing the financial accounts, VAT, tax, audit, finance systems and all governance in order to meet all financial accounting, compliance, control and processing requirements the Charity has.
You will be responsible for long and short term financial modelling, group balance sheet and cash flow (forecast and actuals) as well as all forms of Taxation returns to HMRC. You will be the lead on financial audits, providing support and technical financial advice to the wider charity, whilst building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You will also support the Finance Director in providing financial reporting to the Board and respective Committee’s and will be involved in projects to help improve the finance controls/processes within the Charity. The role will support on Treasury & Investments matters and maintain oversight of all group wide Project accounting and fixed assets.
You will have a formal accountancy qualification (ACA or ACCA) with a minimum of five years post qualified experience. You will have significant experience of large company/charity consolidated accounts, as well as dealing with VAT/ Corporation Tax/Payroll Tax statutory requirements. Required to have experience leading on statutory audits and compliance but also demonstrate ability to build great relationships with external and internal stakeholders and have strong system knowledge.
