Equiniti is a global provider of IT & processing services to the UK government and global corporations from our offices in the UK, US, Poland and India. At every stage, Information Security is at the forefront of what we do and is a vital component of the relationship with our customers.

The Group Information Security Analyst is the focal point for providing accurate and timely assurance to customers. For example during initial bid stages, we are required to answer customer assurance questionnaires about our Information Security policies and standards, which the Group Information Security Analyst will respond to.

Over time, we will be able to offer career development opportunities to expand this persons experience within the Information Security team.

This role can be based from home, but should an office presence be needed, this person would need to be aligned to one of our offices in Crawley, Worthing or Birmingham.

Business Function

The Group Information Security Team is led by Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) reporting to the Group Chief Information Officer, within the Group IT Business Unit.

The Group Information Security Team is responsible for security across the group. It sets out group wide security strategy, implements security plans and monitors compliance against security policies.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support the Bid & Sales processes by providing responses to client questions / questionnaires in line with requested timescales. 

  • Complete client questionnaires with the appropriate standard responses that are relevant to the Equiniti business stream. 

  • Produce Management Information relating to the volumes of customer questionnaires received and performance against target completion date.

  • Assist with the development of a knowledgebase of standard IT and Information Security responses to customer assurance questionnaires. 

  • Analyse previously completed questionnaires to establish the 'best of breed’ responses to questions for each EQ business stream, and populate the knowledgebase with those responses.

  • Maintain the knowledgebase in a controlled manner, ensuring that information remains up-to-date.

  • Assist with analysing and responding to routine requests sent to Group Information Security mailbox.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

  • Knowledge of IT & Information Security (policies, practices, controls) - essential.

  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 - preferable.

  • Experience of working within IT & Information Security - essential.

  • Experience of delivering work within target timescales - essential.

  • Experience of completing client assurance questionnaires - preferable.

  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver complete and accurate work - essential.

  • Ability to develop good working relationships and excellent interpersonal skills - essential.

  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to organise, plan and prioritise work - essential.

  • Ability to use own initiative, to take a pro-active and determined approach to resolving work issues - essential.

  • The ability to multi-task and to be able to prioritise workload to be able to deal with a variety of tasks - essential.

  • Good Microsoft Office skills - essential.
