This is exciting times for us with a number of exciting and ground-breaking integrations and IT infrastructure transformations to undertake. We are a high performing and highly engaged team that has a key vacancy to help us achieve the transformations we will undertake and maintain our goal of providing a leading, flexible and reliable IT Infrastructure service provision to the Ardonagh Group.

We are recruiting for an IT M&A Architect to join our team working within an existing team of architects covering a range of specialisms. You will report to the Head of IT Infrastructure. The IT M&A Architect will principally focus on IT Due Diligence of potential acquisitions against our design framework and IT Controls. Identifying risks and proposing resolutions. Producing integration designs and plans.

This role would ideally suit someone with hands-on experience who has recently moved architect/design role. Someone who can cope with multiple priorities and plan their work on these.

IT M&A Architect Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for undertaking IT Due Diligence of potential mergers and acquisitions.
  • Be responsible for identifying risks and gaps against Ardonagh Design Principles and IT Controls
  • Be responsible for creating integration designs.
  • Be responsible for creating integration timelines.
  • Work with the business to understand the current and target operating model and its impact on IT.
  • Be responsible for bringing M&A designs to DAB (Design Authority Board)
  • Work with Applications and Cyber teams to understand related impacts and present joined up proposals
  • Support the wider Architecture and Design teams with support, SME skills as needed.
  • Take on Architecture roles in wider projects as needed from time to time
IT M&A Architect Skills & Experiences

Some, or all, of the below:

  • Experience with Azure.
  • Experience of O365
  • Knowledge and hands on experience of IAAS applications
  • General on Premise and Azure Active Directory Domain Services knowledge and experience
  • Experience creating solution designs
  • Experience maintaining Architectural Standards
  • Experience in Azure implementation
  • Experience in Compute, Network, Storage, Security and monitoring.
  • Experience in Networks, WAN/LAN/SDWAN
  • Experience in Telephony solutions On-Prem, Central and Cloud based.
  • Experience working with vendors to leverage their knowledge.
  • Experience of Azure integration technology and PAAS services
  • General Networking knowledge
  • General IT Security knowledge and experience
  • General DFS knowledge and experience
  • General Active Directory Federated Services knowledge and experience
  • Service-related focus with the ability to place yourself in the position of the customer to understand their concerns and issues
  • Able to form and direct matrix teams to fulfil objectives, confident in taking briefs and turning them into reality.
We are expecting to complete the recruitment process through a combination of telephone and video conference interviews due to current face to face restrictions. We are also experienced in on-boarding New Joiners during the current Covid-19 remote working situation.

This role will have an element of out of hours and weekend working as needed. Typically, once a month.
