Main Duties & Responsibilities
A Strategy Consultant working as an Associate has typically worked 2+ years within strategy consultancy on client projects.
• primary research, interviewing experts, leveraging, and growing their network • secondary research, using public, commercial, and internal sources • field research • analysis of data collected. Synthesis. • financial, statistical, and operational modelling • creating presentations with horizontal and vertical logic • taking responsibility independently for project workstreams • managing relevant sections of the client presentation • managing junior and expert team members • attending client meetings to support senior consultants • attending industry conferences and events to represent the firm • interviewing candidates and training new team members • creating knowledge pieces and producing thought leadership reports • tasking initiatives to promote it with potential clients and applicants • designing training materials and attending recruitment events to hire talents
• 2+ years of strategy consulting experience • expertise in analytics applied to business and investment • proven experience in both corporate strategy and deals strategy projects • experience in financial modelling and conducting industry expert interviews • standard business problem solving • ability to assess the practicalities of pipelines and models including machine learning and natural language processing pipelines, data visualisation tools, big data technologies • ability to assess disruptive technologies (IoT, blockchain, computer vision and/or narrow artificial intelligence) • ability to understand back-end development of the above technologies as well as implementing them in everyday analysis • advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word • proficiency in Python, Power BI, Tableau, MATLAB • strong communication skills in English • ability to read, write and speak fluently in Mandarin
Qualifications Required • Master’s degree in a STEM related field from a top tier university
