A great and exciting opportunity for Band 6 OT looking to join our Single Care Team on a permanent contract, which is transforming the way care is being delivered in Northamptonshire.
Responsibilities: •To be able to work with primarily customers with physical disabilities, manage a challenging caseload, and recommend specialist equipment and delivering training •The post will have some supervisory responsibility for colleagues working at lower levels within the team. •To complete skilled and specialised occupational therapy assessments and moving and handling assessments to customers with a wide range of more complicated medical conditions, in accordance with all relevant legislation and eligibility criteria. •To facilitate safe and appropriate interventions which enable customers to optimise their independence; this may include the use of complex specialist equipment, minor and major adaptations or specialist advice. •Facilitate safe and appropriate interventions which enable customers to optimise their independence.
Abilities & Skills: •Positive attitude and sound clinical reasoning. •Ability to prioritise and manage your workload under pressure. •Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy. •Experience of using complex specialist equipment, minor equipment, manual handling equipment and providing safe and efficient advice. •Driving licence is essential.
Location: Saunders Close, Kettering
Rota to include: 37 hours per week. Monday – Friday
