The Day Job:

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager for Purchase to Pay (P2P).  This is an opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team, responsible for the management and leadership across the P2P service.

Responsible for ensuring a consistent and monitored approach toward service performance, employee performance/satisfaction, internal governance and financial efficiency, this role drives the partnership with the F&A Service Delivery Management Team. 

Roles at this level achieve results and provide services either personally or through others in a specific area or discipline to meet defined quality or efficiency standards or to ensure best practice advice is given. Individuals possess the skills, knowledge and ability to perform and deliver without day to day supervision. They possess the ability to solve problems with commercial judgment and are influential in customer relationships. Roles at this level will require a detailed understanding of methods, systems and procedures. Therefore requiring minimal direct supervision from Senior Managers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for ensuring there is an excellent service in place covering the end to end P2P customer journey
  • Effectively monitor the P2P service, promoting measurable target driven objectives and support the delivery of the customer engagement strategy.
  • Drive consistency across the operation regarding HR policies and procedures to effectively manage staff performance and behaviour
  • Ensure a training plan in line with our strategic goals in in place across the P2P teams and all employees have meaningful and SMART objectives
  • Deliver effective control and implementation across: Internal Audit, External Audit, Business Continuity, Incident Management, Risk Management, Change
    Management, Portfolio Management, Organisational Hierarchy / Responsibility Management, SOPs and Process Maps, Physical Archive / Data Management.
  • Review internal Management Information with the aim to identify themes and trends to pro-actively manage potential risks and issues that may impact the client and/or the business.
Essential Skills:

  • Previous working experience within an Operational Management role
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Ability of working in a performance management framework ensuring standards are delivered
  • Staff recruitment, training and development
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Leeds or Bristol
Level: 5
Salary: up to £40,000
Benefits: £5,400 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical, life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund
