Argyll and Bute Council's Financial Services Team are looking to recruit a temporary Principal Accountant for a 3 month period until 14 June 2021 with the possibility of this being extended for a longer period. This is a full time post working 35 hours per week. The location is negotiable within Argyll and Bute but attendance at meetings in different offices/locations is required. Please note that the current default position is working from home during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The post entails providing financial support to a service department, management of the treasury function and overseeing indirect taxes. There will also be significant involvement in the preparation of the year end financial statements and any required revenue returns.
