As one of our Product Managers you’ll be working in our business strategy and product innovation function. You will be responsible for taking innovative product and service ideas from the drawing board and launching them into operational reality, whether it’s a service to existing customers or an entirely new market. You'll be a critical part of a small but perfectly formed team of organisational strategy and product innovation nerds, who bang on endlessly about font choice, value propositions, customer journeys and unique selling points, and will bring together experts from within and outside of the organisation to get things done.

You’ll be working in a team of professionals for Graham, our Product Innovation Lead. He rides a bike, has a small daughter, is obsessed with disco re-edits and does a mean Zoella impression.

Working flexibly

Please note we are working from home at the moment, and under normal circumstances this is an office-based role with flexibility built in. It’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!

About you

You will enhance the organisations brand by representing our products, values and strategy to external stakeholders. You will have excellent ability to motivate cross-functionally among teams in various locations, and across multiple disciplines.

You will be intuitively collaborative, with well-developed interpersonal, presentation and negotiating/ influencing skills to get everyone on the same page. You will have the ability to develop and communicate concise propositions and to tailor the tone and level of message as the situation demands.

You will be an excellent rapport builder, with the ability to quickly gain the confidence of colleagues, commissioners and stakeholders, and a track record of delivering stuff.

You will have the ability to formally analyse and understand individual stakeholder needs and build excellent working relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors – ensuring products are fully understood and appropriate business engagement is in place throughout the product lifecycle.

This is not an IT or marketing job, but you will probably encounter IT and marketing along the way. Technically, it would be great if you had the right certificates, however we appreciate that you might have some great transferrable skills and the desire to work towards getting certified. Amongst some of the skills we are looking for are;

• Experience and knowledge of key issues, opportunities, and relationships within the housing and property development, and health and social care sectors, and the challenges facing them right now.


• The ability to network and influence both internally and externally, to bring together cross-disciplinary teams in order to implement things that are outside the comfort zone.


• A deep understanding of customer needs and how to engage to identify them; and the flair, passion and organisational skill to turn them into solutions that work.

You will be educated to at least a degree level or have relevant experience in an obsessively customer-oriented business, service delivery or healthcare organisation.

You will ideally know product management inside out but, must as a minimum have delivered product, project or programmes within a recognised project or product management framework - such as pragmatic marketing, MSP, or PRINCE2.
