Profile

The Issuer Services team sits within the Capital Markets team of the London Stock Exchange. The team's mandate is to build and maintain relationships with issuers and be a revenue generating centre through the Issuer Services platform and other services: www.lsegissuerservices.com

Our core clients are the Investor Relations teams and the c-suite within our Issuers and Pre-IPO companies. We aim to offer them a range of products and services through the platform, that is split across five broad areas:

  1. Company profile page on londonstockexchange.com
  2. Data - pricing / trading data
  3. Marketplace - LSE and third party service providers presented to issuers
  4. Spark - Thought leadership content and events
  5. SparkLive - Company results presentations and livestreams

3,4,5 above are directly revenue generating. 1 and 2 provide insights and tools to the issuers that are valuable and drive adoption of the platform. Should the Refinitiv transaction successfully close, we anticipate that there will be an opportunity to share more value added data with our issuers through the platform.

SparkLive

Through SparkLive (https://spark?channel=sparklive) we give our issuers and pre-IPO companies the opportunity to livestream and host on demand their corporate presentations including capital markets days, results presentations, AGMs and roadshows in the public domain and also through a private link. We distribute the livestreams through SparkLive and also through londonstockexchange.com to capitalise on our distribution capabilities. We also anticipate that there will be the opportunity to leverage Refinitiv distribution through Eikon and other platforms.

We currently offer functionality through the platform such as Q&A, speaker bios, description, save the date etc. We rely on third party technology providers to provide the livestreaming embed. Our USP is our trusted brand and our distribution capabilities. We launched SparkLive in 2020 and we have seen some good initial traction with clients. We believe that there is significant scope for growth.

The Role

We are recruiting for an individual to be a manager of the SparkLive product and take it to the next level of maturity. The candidate will report to Tom Hinton (Head of Issuer Services). The successful candidate will be expected to develop the SparkLive product to encompass a full range of functionality in the public market and pre-IPO space. This will include developing roadshow and other functionality. The candidate will be expected to take responsibility for the following:

  • Continue to develop the strategy for SparkLive
  • Develop the product with ever evolving functionality
  • Work with legal, reg and compliance to develop appropriate policies, contracts and terms of use
  • Work closely with the operations and sales teams to develop a seamless client experience
  • Work with external suppliers and onboard them appropriately
  • Work closely with marketing and comms to develop a marketing strategy
  • Run the budget and monitor appropriate KPIs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with issuers and pre-ipo companies

In relation to the relationship management of issuers, the candidate would be expected to proactively engage with issuers every day to ensure we are developing the platform in line with their needs and feedback. It is also important that the candidate is able to monitor the issuers use of the platform and spot cross selling opportunities as they arise.

    • Experience in corporate access / ECM
    • Experience in advising corporate communication with investors
    • Experience with both private and public companies
