Who are we looking for?
We are now seeking an experienced Account Manager to take full operational responsibility for a portfolio of client accounts, direct the account teams and support the clients’ media and business development objectives.
This is a role for someone looking to take added responsibility and is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in professional services PR with a highly regarded specialist Consultancy where you will have the ability to develop the role according to your interests.
➢ Reports to Managing Director ➢ Take primary responsibility for managing a portfolio of existing clients and managing the account teams ➢ Assist in identifying and driving new business growth and Myddleton’s marketing programme
Client & team management
➢ Deliver exemplary client service for clients ➢ Identify relevant opportunities to secure organic growth and draft proposals to increase services to existing clients ➢ Develop existing and new relationships with key journalists ➢ Produce monthly, quarterly & annual reviews and report to clients ➢ Attend networking events, seminars and conferences, including out of hours as required in order to maintain personal professional development and to build networking and new business contacts ➢ Lead by example ensuring teams have clear direction, roles and responsibilities
New business development
➢ Proactively identify opportunities for new business ➢ Develop initiatives to identify new business opportunities ➢ Draft new business proposals ➢ Participate or lead new business pitches
You and your skills
You must hold a relevant qualification together with solid experience gained within a professional services, media or PR environment. You will be looking for the next step to develop your career in an expanding PR consultancy.
You will have good business and commercial awareness and an interest in current affairs, business, social and political issues. You will be an excellent communicator with a proven ability to work under pressure, demonstrate attention to detail and possess high quality creative writing skills. You will be able to manage clients’ expectations and be organised to meet deadlines and have significant experience working with demanding clients at partner and director level.
You will have good existing media contacts and an understanding of how press, broadcast and online media operate.
You will be keen to play an active part in identifying and delivering new business and most importantly, have a passion for the role, a sense of humour and a desire to both work as part of a small team and to lead by example.
The role is full time however Myddleton is committed to offering flexible working commensurate with high level client service.
