Manchester University Foundation Trust were successful in their bid to be allocated funding as part of the governments green paper ambitions to transform children and young people’s mental health support in England. This will build on the existing prevention and early intervention work in education as part of the Manchester Health Schools and Salford CAMHS School Link Programmes.
The Mental Health Support Teams in Manchester and Salford will form part of a Thrive In Education model working in an integrated manner with our partnership agencies from the voluntary sector and provide ‘Getting Help’ and ‘Getting Advice’ as part of the Manchester and Salford Thrive offer.
This is a new and exciting service with great opportunity to reach children and young people at the earliest stages possible when their difficulties have first been identified ensuring schools, families, professionals and mental health practitioners work collaboratively to acknowledge the voice of the young person and provide effective interventions in dynamic and innovative way.
