In this impactfulrole within the Customer Insights team, you’ll be responsible for usingadvanced analytics and data science to enable data-driven decisions across theSociety. You’ll provide thought leadership to a range of stakeholders and beproactive in your approach in order to encourage the right outcomes as a resultof your analysis.
You’ll use your experience of the latest data science techniques toidentify opportunities and make recommendations to deliver return oninvestment, improved customer engagement and opportunities for process improvement.
Being a senior member of our Customer Insight datascience team means you’ll mentor and support your colleagues to deliver ourdata and analytics strategy, so you’ll strike a balance of being hands-on withdata along with being a key contact and role model for your colleagues.
You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining themodels required to drive value and deliver both complex and smaller projectswhich deliver commercial value. As well as providing data insights, you’ll alsopromote a culture of analytical curiosity by asking the right questions to bestunderstand and deliver business needs.
You will work closely with leaders across the organisationand ensure you build and maintain relationships to allow you to present youranalysis in a way which resonates with your audience. Through effectivecoaching and mentoring you’ll also support your team and their development.
We’re looking for someone who is highly experienced in abroad range of data science techniques including machine learning, model crossvalidation and time-series analysis. You’ll have experience in using a range ofdata analysis tools such as SQL, R or Python and the ability to pass on yourlearning and experience to others. The key competencies for this role are:
Experience managing large and complex data sets Significant experience using a range of datascience techniques Proven track record of converting businessproblems into analytical solutions Excellent presentation,communication and influencing skills with the ability to tailor your approachto suit your audience (including senior management) and present complex ideasin a simple way Experience of a variety of data visualisationtools Experience working in a commercially focusedenvironment
