As a Senior Occupational Therapist, join the multidisciplinary team at Thornford Park in Thatcham where you will help people develop new skills and build a brighter future.

You will be working at Thornford Park, a 130 bedded independent hospital that supports service users that require medium and low secure Forensic Mental Health Services. In addition to these services, there is also a PICU Mental Health Service.

You will have experience in managing a designated caseload using theoretical and practical experience, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans. You'll be joining a supportive network of healthcare professionals, including the Senior and Lead Occupational Therapist.

You will lead, support and supervise the occupational health team and will be responsible for monitoring budgets and resource purchases.

With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you'll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of training courses to support you reach your career goals.

This Senior OT role involves:

• Manages and coordinates the implementation of individual treatment plans
  
• Receives and responds promptly to referrals
  
• Maintains and develops close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues
  

To be successful in this role:

• At least 18 months experiences of working in mental health settings, post Occupational Therapy training.
  
• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  
• HPC Registration.
  
• Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983 & CPA
  
• Knowledge on the Model of Human Occupation
