Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 Per Annum, pro rata(Depending on Experience)

Workbridge is part of St. Andrew’s Healthcare and offers a vocational recovery pathway for people with mental illness, learning disabilities, ASD and brain injuries, in which they can gain valuable work skills and build confidence. Our valued service users comprise of adults with complex mental health needs who either reside at St. Andrew’s healthcare, or they live in the community with their families, carers or independently.

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic, resilient, proactive and highly organised individual to join our small team of Service Managers, reporting in to the Head of Workbridge.
This important role leads and oversees the growth and development of our valued community service users. The successful individual must have experience in building relationships with vulnerable adults in the community, their carers and families with a good understanding of the day centre provision referral process. 

The role will focus specifically on:


 - Community service user referrals and development
 - Develop, manage and maintain professional relationships with key community clients such as NASS, families/carers, care homes and local SEN Schools
 - Management of service user and patient session figures
 - Responsible for the Living & Learning Providers Forum – developing partnerships with competitors to share best practice

 - Tenders – Responsible for awareness of up-coming mental healthcare tenders in the community

You will also be responsible for leading with: - Charity/Gift shop development – Meeting income and non-pay targets
 - Employment Support services – this is a service which we are currently reviewing and experience in this area would be beneficial
 - Working with colleagues to ensure that departments are following legislative requirements and health and safety standards
 - Initiate and contribute to healthcare governance and quality within Workbridge
 - Workbridge student placements – responsible for the Mental Health and Occupational Therapy student placements that take place at Workbridge working in partnership with the STAH academic team and University of Northampton
 - Lead and direct respective team in development and achievement of individual objectives
 - Support with the operational requirements of a very busy service with over 200 community service users and patient accessing sessions each week.


The role is primarily Monday-Friday (30 hours) though occasional weekend assistance maybe required depending on business needs. Working days and hours can be discussed. 

Who are we looking for?

Ideally have and be able to demonstrate:

 - Experience of working with adults who have complex mental health needs
 - Experience of working in a similar day centre provision or charity with vulnerable adults which provides professional assessments and therapeutic activities
 - Experience of developing community links with key stakeholders
 - A successful track record in proactively seeking and responding to adult social care tenders
 - Strong financial understanding of managing budgets


The ability to empathise and build a rapport with our service users is essential.
