Job Summary:

KIMS Hospital, Maidstone are looking for an energetic and experienced Staff Nurse in our busy Outpatient Department. Your role as a qualified RGN will be to deliver the highest standard of outpatient care at all times. You will assess, plan and deliver care based on the individual patient needs whilst acting as a role model for junior staff by promoting a learning environment.

Shift lengths will be 12 hours working between 08:00 – 20:30, working 3 days on week A and 2 days on week B. Working patterns will include occasional weekend working.

Role Responsibilities of a Staff Nurse include:

Assisting with minor procedures within the cosmetic, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, dermatology, ENT, urology and gynaecology departments.

Providing nursing support to the consultants who work with KIMS Hospital including, taking bloods and providing wound care.

Champion infection prevention and control in your daily work.

Providing supervision and leadership to the junior members of the team enabling the delivery of excellence in clinical care and deputising for senior staff when necessary.

Maintaining accurate patient records.
