We have an exciting opportunity for Area Sales Managers in the London area covering our depots in Enfield, Gatwick, Thurrock and Weybridge. This is a home based role with frequent travel across the region and to our London depots.

In this role your primary responsibility will be to achieve your individual sales targets for volume and revenue in line with the strategy of the business for size of customer and product mix. You will be responsible for generating your own leads and developing a pipeline to convert into new clients within a defined geographical area based on standard T&C’s and rates aligned to a departmental onboarding calendar for the areas you cover.

What You’ll Do
Identifying and developing a personal prospect pipeline of sufficient quality and quantity to deliver against monthly, quarterly and annual volume and revenue targets as set by the business Meeting all set KPI’s and achieving productivity targets Managing and recording sales activity and sales process through the Hermes CRM System Onboarding new clients in a timely manner to meet projected go-live dates Ensuring all new clients have a full understanding of Hermes Customer Service processes and have all the tools and contacts required to self-serve across all areas of the business Monitoring the performance of new clients to ensure they trade to profile across all products and services. Resolving escalations and account queries whilst clients are under direct ownership Work with operational areas of the business (mainly Depots) to keep up to date and influence their capacity plans
Essential Skills & Experience Required
You’ll already be experienced in sales with demonstrable sales/new accounts/business development experience gained within a telesales, field sales or account management style role You’ll already have logistics, freight or supply chain industry experience so can bring your knowledge to this role A full UK driving licence with the ability to travel (a company car is provided) Persuasive and commercially savvy, you’ll be able to make the complex simple for all audiences, gaining buy in to complete the sale An level head, you’ll be able to diffuse conflicts and use your problem solving skills to turn around negotiations IT literate, you’ll know all the usual Microsoft Office programmes and have used CRM software in the past Hungry to succeed, tough sales figures and deadlines won’t phase you!
