Job Purpose:

TESTQ Technologies is an IT services and solutions company whose offerings spans over variety of industry sectors with strong technical, domain and process expertise helping clients grow their businesses and decrease operational costs on continuous basis in an ever-changing business environment.
This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Business Analyst who will play a major role with the technical design and development of company’s technical offerings. The role is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at client locations

Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):

• Exceptional ability to position solutions that are reasonable, actionable, and cost-effective, including the ability to properly gauge the requirements and fit the appropriate solution.
• Forward-thinking and resourceful to solve problems and ensure solutions are brought to fruition and requirements are closed properly.
• Ability to apply methodologies such as Unified Modelling Language and Rational Unified Process, to prepare detailed specifications using case statements and related documentation
• People skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with stakeholders and communicate changes that may not be aligned with the original expectations
• Knowledge of proper requirements specification and development, such as process/functional requirements definition methods, JAD/RAD sessions, use case development, process flow diagrams
• Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall Methodologies
• Prioritize requirements from various stakeholders
• Communicate, translate, and simplify business requirements to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders
• Assess change-proposals and define solutions to help the organization achieve its goals
• Discover, organize, and clarify business needs and review/produce specifications for change
• Work with the Technical Analyst and development team to ensure that they understand the specifications.
• Work with training team to document system scenarios and identify roles impacted to help develop a change management/training plan.
• Conduct business process modelling and generate applicable scenarios for the technology functionality testing team.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]

• Professional skills in stakeholder management and engagement; qualitative and quantitative investigation techniques
• Organisation modelling and Business process analysis 
• Requirements Engineering: elicitation, analysis, development and modelling
• Full software development lifecycle artefacts design and maintenance
• MS SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL Server/MongoDB
• C#/Java/Python
• Unified Modelling Language (UML)
• Cloud and Agile Platforms: Microsoft Azure/AWS/Google Cloud 
• System Integration experience across standard business systems platforms
• Data Interchange and file formats: Working with structured data (XML, JSON) and flat file formats (CSV).
• Knowledge of reporting tools such as SSRS or Power BI
• Good understanding of IT development models
• An understanding of B2B (VPN, VDI etc.) technologies and collaboration tools (SharePoint, MS Team Box etc.) also beneficial
• Knowledge of the TCP / IP protocol suite; security architecture; securing and hardening Operating Systems; Networks; Databases; and Applications
• Knowledge of the Incident Response life cycle, working independently to investigate and effectively respond to cyber security incidents

The candidate with Bachelor's degree or above in the UK or Equivalent would be preferred.

Salary: £25620 - £36600 per annum
