c# & sql developer

Description

Foodmate UK Ltd, designs, builds, installs, commissions and supports a range of products, primarily, but not confined to the food processing industry. The products, systems and equipment generally consist of computer/electronic hardware, software and peripheral equipment which provide customers with operational efficiency improvements and data acquisition. Due to rapid expansion, we are looking to recruit a C# and SQL Developer. The role is based in Huddersfield, UK with occasional international travel (particularly to the USA and the Netherlands) required to assist in product development and sales support. Following training and product familiarisation, home working is a possibility.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced developer with a bachelor degree (or four years of experience in lieu of a degree) who will be responsible for building applications with a focus on server-side components. Your primary responsibilities will be to design and develop these components and to coordinate with the rest of the team who will be working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design and product quality is essential.

Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable C# code and database queries.

Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of applications.

Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.

Other responsibilities

Provide technical support for our systems during commissioning phase and for completed installations. This may include support outside of normal office hours and for customers in other time zones.

Produce technical documentation (including end user guides and system manuals).
