As a Registered Charge Nurse, you will lead and coordinate the quality and management of nursing care for people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
With previous experience in a similar setting from the NHS or private care as a Registered Nurse. You will be responsible for the clinical environment where you will provide leadership to your peers and manage the clinical services throughout the wards and units.

What you will be doing As a Charge Nurse you will be working within a team that includes a range of professionals to support females with learning disabilities and/or autism at The Woodhouse, in Cheadle, Staffordshire.
You will work within an identified career development pathway and be expected to complete appropriate competency development portfolio. Experience of working in a supervisory capacity, secure environment and interdisciplinary teamwork. Experience of assessing and teaching junior staff and coordinating care. Where you will be working Location: The Woodhouse, Lockwood Road, Cheadle, Staffordshire ST10 4QU
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide person-centred care for male and female patients with a learning disability/ autism or personality disorder. Gaining experience across low secure and locked rehabilitation environments to support better health and greater independence. You'll work in environments ranging from small village cottages, where independent living skills can be developed, to 8 bedded units that facilitate the development of daily living skills. The service values positive risk-taking opportunities within a context of robust risk assessment and management to ensure those we support are kept safe.
