We are currently seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Coventry.

As the sole dispatch manager, this is a fast-paced, reactive role in which you must be comfortable working independently, using your initiative to make key decisions.

Key responsibilities and duties...

  • Analyse which orders are available to be sent to the warehouse
  • Send orders electronically to the warehouse provider on time
  • Follow up any queries/special instructions on orders with customers and sales reps
  • Keep customers and sales team updated on any delays.
  • Ensure all required information is on sales orders for smooth delivery for the warehouse team
  • Liaise with purchasing as to incoming stock
  • Update customers with daily parcel tracking
  • Support customer service with and delivery queries
  • Liaise with the warehouse on weekly workload
  • Report weekly on KPI’s on OTIF

  • Ability to build, plan and execute on critical path time frames
  • Good negotiation skills and influencing skills.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to build relationships both with suppliers and internal multi-discipline teams.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical ability to find trends and patterns from reports.
  • Experience in using forecasting tools and techniques, ERP software solution and intermediate to advanced user of all Microsoft Office tools including Excel.
Hours: 08:00- 16:30 (Mon-Fri)
