We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our finance team at our Leeds head office. We have some ambitious growth plans and the finance team are at the centre of enabling the business to grow sustainably.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare weekly and periodic management accounts for review by senior management;
• Work to ensure that the management accounts continue to develop and address the reporting needs of the Board and other senior managers.
• Assist in the design and implementation of transaction process improvement;
• Assist in writing the commentary for the weekly and periodic management accounts; and
• Maintain strong balance sheet control through monthly reconciliation of the entire balance sheet
• Lead and develop a small team of Finance graduates

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, intelligent, ambitious team player with strong communication skills who will recognise the opportunities presented by a growing business

Essential skills and experience required:

• Be educated to degree standard and holding a full professional accounting qualification such as, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Experience of working, challenging and influencing at a senior level across various functions
• Ideally you will have practise background
• Naturally you’ll be very numerate and analytical, with commercial acumen to evaluate business plans as well as the charisma needed to influence often conflicting ideas
• Strong IT skills and knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc
• Experience in leading/developing a team
