Refeyn is developing mass photometry, a new technology for the analysis of biomolecules that measures the mass of single molecules with light. Refeyn spun out the University of Oxford's Department of Chemistry in 2018 and has already delivered instrumentation to over 50 customers. Refeyn is now uniquely positioned for rapid growth.
The Inside Sales Representative will work closely with the Sales Directors in both Europe and USA as well as the team of local Sales and Application Specialists. She/he will be responsible for prospecting new customers and building a global pipeline to assure market penetration in strategic areas. The Inside Sales Representative will communicate the value of the Company's novel biomolecule characterization technology and drive sales through effective interactions with direct and indirect customers. Primary responsibilities include sales coordination via telephone, email, but face-to-face customer meetings may be required. She/he will provide the field sales team with qualified leads and support business development activities within the company as needed (prospecting, following up after conferences and events etc.).
Key responsibilities will include:
Actively contribute to achievement of overall global annual sales plan by strengthening the pipeline with qualified leads
Execute professional sales contacts with customers, prospect, qualify and drive leads into pipeline
Work closely with the Sales team to develop specific growth strategies, account mapping and penetration; includes identifying and mitigating competitive barriers.
Use interactions with customers and the market to assist Sales and Marketing team to continually improve the effectiveness of lead generation activities and promo follow up, ensuring best possible chance of winning business
Attend and contribute to internal and external scientific meetings to maintain awareness of protein analysis techniques, competitor landscape and new product opportunities and follow up with leads
Contribute to the maintenance of a customer relationship management database by effectively tracking activities, collecting customer information and mapping key customer accounts whilst, maintain the lead data base
Create and report leading metrics to monitor effectiveness of strategies, conversion and the funnel growth as part of the sales performance
Meet and exceed individual sales plan
Bachelor of Science, or equivalent experience in biophysics, biochemistry, chemical engineering or similar fields
Experience working in an SME (small to medium-sized enterprise) beneficial but not essential
Self-motivated individual who is results-oriented and customer-focused.
Experience working in a sales role capacity;
Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to build relationships both internally and with external customers
Exceptional communication skills, written and telephone manner.
Attention to detail - ensuring all customer interactions are executed flawlessly
