About your new company

NQC is a successful and growing Manchester City Centre based software company specialising in supply chain risk management platforms. Our online web platforms are in use by some of the largest organisations across a number of industries including the UK Government, the Automotive industry and the Defence & Aerospace industry.

About your new role

We are currently on the lookout for a forward thinking, hands on and experienced IT Manager to help us deliver NQC’s IT strategy. This would be an ideal position for someone who is looking for the next step in their career where they can lead transformation within a growing and dynamic business.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Working with the senior management team in the development, planning and implementation of the IT strategy for the company

• Working closely with the Software Development and Cyber Security teams to ensure NQC’s IT infrastructure is robust and secure

• Implementing and developing new and existing IT processes

• Ensuring the smooth running of the companys cloud and desktop infrastructure

• Support the testing and continued management of the company’s business continuity plan

• Managing and contributing to the professional development of the current IT team

About you

It would be advantageous for applicants to have experience in the following areas;

• IT leadership or management in an SME environment

• Experience of Linux and Azure (or similar systems)

• Experience of developing and implementing improvements or transformation projects

• A sound understanding of Software Development life cycles
