We are currently looking for an experienced Technical Support person to join our busy and close-knit team based in Bury Saint Edmunds, Suffolk. A suitable candidate will be working within an IT support team with a track record of providing 2nd /3rd line support to our different departments on the busy service desk. We are looking for someone who has a firm background in Microsoft technologies, networking and has experience of working in a similar environment. This role requires traveling to our different locations to provide IT support within the UK.
Configuration and troubleshooting of Microsoft servers and desktop machines.
Troubleshooting firewall and router issues.
Taking ownership of Tier 2 support and priority cases.
Dealing with different nature of issues from the various department:
Permissions, passwords, and account management
VPN and Remote Support
MFA and 2FA Support
Various Software Support
MS Office - Versions 2010 - 2020
Windows Operating Systems - Windows 8 through to 10
Network support, printer support, and telephony/telecoms support (VOIP).
Telephone, email, and remote support.
Assisting technical Managers and The Service Desk Manager with sensitive and escalated tasks
IT Infrastructure Diagrams and documentation
Be able to successfully carry out in-depth investigations and reconfiguration of our clients’ systems and undertake new installations, it is essential that you have a solid understanding and demonstrable skills in the following areas:
Service Desk Experience
DNS, DHCP, File Systems
Networking diagnostics, TCP/IP, packets, understanding of how a network works.
Router, Firewall, and VPN Configurations
Microsoft Client and Server Operating Systems, specifically:
