We currently have an opportunity for an LCL Sea Logistics Operational care specialist to join our Sea Logistics team at our Liverpool branch . The LCL Sea Logistics Operational care specialist will be responsible for coordinating transport activities by; executing the necessary load planning of export containers, generating the required documentation, and liaising with suppliers and internal Operational Care Centres (OCC) and Customer Care Locations (CCL) to ensure specific requirements are met. The Operational Care Specialist is responsible for managing the coordination of customer LCL shipments and the accurate and timely update of the information into the operational system or to the internal customer.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure maximum optimisation of Saco containers, encourage new routes and develop existing lanes in collaboration with OCC.
  • Coordinate and align customer deliverables with OCC /CCL, partners and suppliers to manage transportation of customer LCL cargo.
  • Ensure OCC/CCL are kept informed of regular operational and service updates.
  • Ensure the maintenance of high standards of customer care.
  • Ensure the timely processing of sales and purchase invoices, in line with the internal Finance Controlling regulations.
  • Recognise and resolve day-to-day operational problems in conjunction with OCC/CCL.
  • Understand and adhere to national and local QSHE policies.
  • Contribute to department team meetings.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Experience in freight forwarding with key focus on LCL Seafreight.
  • Excellent organisational & time management skills.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Understanding of Seafreight & the LCL product.
  • Collaboration skills.
  • Good team player.
  • Understanding of incoterms, shipment types and methods.
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written).
