The role

The internationally leading Department of Population Health Sciences (PHS) in the University of Bristol Medical School (BRMS) hosts one of the UK’s largest groups of medical statisticians and data scientists. We wish to appoint a Lecturer or Lecturer in Medical Statistics and Data Science to develop research interests and expertise in trials and/or natural experiments and data science in relation to primary care as part of their research portfolio.

What will you be doing?

The person appointed to this post will contribute to existing projects and to the design, grant writing and implementation of new research projects. The post holder will also supervise more junior statisticians in undertaking the routine analysis of trials and other studies and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes. The post-holder will be encouraged to collaborate on development of new methodology relevant to their research interests.

You should apply if

The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in a quantitative topic (or equivalent research experience) and a track record of applied and/or methodological research published in high impact journals.
