Reporting to the Head of Product and Solutions, the Senior Product Engineer will play a key role throughout the product delivery lifecycle, helping to shape and deliver the Akixi product.
As the Senior Product Engineer and an Akixi product expert you will be the main technical liaison for new channel partners, assisting them with complex technical requirements to onboard successfully.
You will also assist our Business Development team and channel partners in delivering complex and bespoke solutions to end user organisations, then bringing any insight gained back into the team, working with the Head of Product to build product concepts and scopes.
You will be responsible for planning and managing several partner related product improvement programmes, such beta testing and focus groups, where you will be able to leverage the relationships gained through your liaison with our partners.

Product development and support
Produce written and graphic product scopes and concepts
Plan and coordinate product lifecycle programmes, such as beta testing and external product trialling
Research product use cases
Product-related data gathering
Submit feedback and insights for inclusion into the product development roadmap
Any other duties to assist the product workflow
Technical assistance to the Business Development team for complex delivery solutions
Post-sales support services and technical back up as required
Evaluate ways to deliver innovative, successful solutions which meet partner requirements
Partner engagement from pre-sales through to successful sales and implementation
Support marketing and sales activities as required
Technical presentations and product demonstrations
Liaise with other teams, technical and non-technical, to ensure successful implementation
Develop strong relationships with channel partners and be a key point of contact for product enquiries
Listen to customer requirements and feedback, seeking innovative solutions to requests and problem solving with a commercial attitude
Create user case requirements which are then used for technical product specifications
Visit resellers as required
Qualifications and Experience - Essential
3+ years in the telecoms or IT industry (sales and/or engineering), ideally in a B2B environment
IT literate, including competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
A creative, analytical, and results-focused problem solver
Proactive with a can-do attitude
Able to build excellent relationships across teams and with external contacts, technical and non-technical
Excellent communication skills: oral, written and presenting
Strong attention to detail, high level of accuracy

Qualifications and Experience - Desirable
Call and contact centre environment experience
Knowledge of the Akixi platform as a reseller or end user
Experience working in the IT channel
Experience of Agile and Scrum working development environments
Experience of Agile development planning software, Jira, Trello, Basecamp, etc.
