site reliability engineer

At Tribal we are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our established DevOps function who are at the core of our most ambitious software product yet, Tribal Edge.

The Role

Tribal Edge is a cloud-based product hosted in Azure and is being developed with technologies across the Microsoft stack.

The role of the SRE is to?develop processes and tools to help design, build, and run large-scale and scalable systems reliably and efficiently. This will involve creating software that improves the reliability of systems in production, fixing issues, responding to incidents and assisting the team with out-of-hours work.?

Key aspects of the role:

• Ensure that our production systems operate with high standards in relation to availability, latency, and scalability.
• Configuration and support to deploy applications to the production environments.
• To code supporting tools and utilities for configuration and deployment. (C# and Powershell)
• To design, build and document appropriate SRE practices.
• To code on the core Edge application framework for configuration and deployment aspects.
• Effective monitoring of our production environment through log analysis and concise reporting of key metrics via dashboards.

What can I bring to the Role?

Experience operating in a commercial DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer role is highly beneficial, however experience operating in an appropriate infrastructure or engineering role within a multi-tenant PaaS or SaaS environment will also provide lots of transferable skills.

You will need to have a good understanding of the Microsoft stack and it is crucial that you have Azure experience. Any experience of Azure DevOps will make you a very strong candidate for this position.

You should have natural aptitude and passion for problem-solving in a creative way, with the ability to take a problem and create a solution.
