We opened our first Xero office in Manchester last year and have seen great success from our sales team in the region. Based on this we’re excited to be adding in another new team of Account Managers. In this internal sales role you will be responsible for increasing profitable sales growth within your territory - this covers both new and existing Accounting and Bookkeeping Partners. We’re a fast paced company and it’ll be up to you to identify areas of opportunity and assist Partners to utilise the resources within Xero to help grow their client base on Xero. You’ll come with the enthusiasm to effectively account manage your territory to grow and retain the business to achieve the targets set.
What you’ll do…
Proactively identify sales opportunities of each partner, through a collaborative sales conversation, tailoring a solution and closing business in a timely way
Identify sales opportunities to build sales pipeline and produce accurate forecasts each month
Creatively identify opportunities to develop business plans to produce larger or longer term deals and work with the Partner to implement them and manage them on an ongoing basis
Ensure you keep up to date with your knowledge of Xero features and functionality is via Xero training and update Webinars, making sure you’re comfortable in demonstrating these to customers
Ensure activity targets including talk time, dials and call quality are met and be proactive in development, coaching and progression opportunities
Increase and maintain the percentage of certified partners ensuring attendance of re-certification where required
Recommend the next steps for that partner and ensure partners are aware of resources available i.e. Education, Partner Consultants, CX and the Add On Marketplace as necessary and where required.
What you’ll bring…
You’ll have experience in a inside telephone-based sales/account management role; able to apply quality sales call techniques including tone, call shaping and control, fact finding, enthusiasm, closing and next steps
You’ll have used, and know how to manage your work through a CRM system, preferably Salesforce
You’ll be used to working to targets, able to meet and exceed KPIs around talk time and dials
You’ll be enthusiastic in building and maintaining relationships with your customers through regular check ins, demos of the system and promoting add on features where needed
You’ll posses the determination to succeed and work within a rapidly changing, global environment, demonstrating strong initiative and the ability to work autonomously
You’ll have a passion for knowledge, proactively keeping up to date with the market and know what the competition are doing in order to promote Xero
Knowledge of accounting principles and/or the workings of an accounting practice is highly desirable but not essential
This is a permanent role based in our Manchester office.
The role is accompanied by a salary of £30,000 plus £12,000 commission and benefits.
